Aurora australis

My garden is putting its self to sleep.
This is the last of my dye garden.

The colours on my street are the best now.

Autumn is the best time... of all the times.

More things from this morning....
These are jars in my home. I like to adventure with colours that come out.
This is where our bicycles hang.
I found this growing in my garden
I found this as well.

In other news... this is the best thing... http://www.dudecraft.com/

Locus classicus

Off to the woods again to find more Dye Makers Polypore (Phaeolus schweinitzii).

The best find of the forest.

Crudelius est quam mori semper timere mortem

My partner and I adventured into dark woods today.

It was the first Autumn feeling day this year. I needed to be with the earth.
It smelled perfect, like strong dark soil.

We went wildcrafting for dye stuff.

Also, we played with sticks like Andy Goldsworthy

Ad honorem

Today I taught a class on dyeing with cochineal...

I'm always worried that when I teach i'm living a lie... I don't feel grown up enough to be able to teach things, even though I have the knowledge. Gotta get better at that.

BUT! the people I got to teach today are super-nice, so that made me much less nervous. It was two couples... I love couples that take part in each others hobbies. Bestest.

This guy always helps me when natural dyeing. Taking interest in my hobbies...
Or maybe he thinks its funny to watch me crushing bugs and playing with yarn...

Something else that is great....
this blog post....

Time to go outside and ride bikes...
