Into the woods today

The darling one and I went with Ange to the woods today.
We were shooting photos for new patterns!

Camping

The darling one took me camping this past weekend.

He got us sleeping bags for my nameday. (Game of Thrones reference...! I'm a nerd!)

Crystals and Lichens

Yesterday the darling one and I went into the woods.

We adventured in the river (wearing gumboots!) and around the mountians.

We found quartz crystal points, and the largest lichen i've ever seen.

Swimming in March

I spent the better part of the day in the woods today.
I went swimming in a glacier fed stream. It was terrible and wonderful.

My week thus far

The darling one and I have been working a lot this past month... more than usual really. I have the Eastside Culture Crawl coming up next week... which is taking up a lot of my time. Getting everything prepared, making lists, finishing work.... and finalizing how I am going to pull this off! So excited!

The darling one and I are going adventure-dating in the woods tonight. Ya camping!!!

This week I need to finish a knit bolero for a friend's wedding, and a shawl for another friend's wedding the week after. So many weddings!

Also... I just got two braids of fibre from Woolgatherings (www.woolgatheringsfibres.com) Of the fine alpaca... these are going to be spun into something, and then knit into a shawl for my Mother-in-law. She is such a great person. AND- she loves everything I knit for her! !!

I got back from a night of camping on Tuesday night.

In the woods

The darling one and I went adventuring in the woods yesterday.

We left for Squamish I the morning. There was a small walkabout trail that is where the salmon spawn in the fall. There I saw a small snake! Also beat prints... So I meow-sang loudly to alert any bears of our presence.

Then we went to Cat Lake. It is SO beautiful there. The tiniest little lake. We walked around it, and played in the woods around it.
