My Staff Holiday Party
So... I work from home/studio. All of my friends are talking about their holiday staff parties that they are going to, and about their 'secret santa' gift exchanges. I was feeling a little sad that I don't get one, but I figure... why don't I get one!?
So i'm planning a staff party. It is Blinky (my cat) and myself. I haven't figured out a day yet, but I think the planning will be easy. We already have done the secret santa draw (I got Blinky!) and we are going to listen to late 90's pop music and drink mulled wine.
What do you think!? Should I take photos?

North!
I'm headed to Northern Ontario on Tuesday.
I will be gone for a month.
... It makes me nervous to be away from the Blinkus cat for that long, but a loved person is going to live in our house/assume our lives. I would like to believe that he will make appearances as both myself, and the darling one. And if it would have been a place both of us would have been, he will somehow become us both!
Also, i'm pretty sure there aren't any yarn stores where i'm going. !!! Oh no!!!
But I am bringing A LOT of yarn with me. Mostly handspun, Sweet Georgia, My own naturally dyed yarn, some stuff i'm working on for a publication (or two!) and two bags which don't have projects yet. Want to see what that looks like?

Ut ameris, ama!
Is it wrong that I want everything in the world to be dyed with logwood? I think violet my be the best colour around these days....
That will probably change in my mind soon.. but today is a purple kind of feeling.
(Mostly because I want to dye my hair purple... but that can't happen with logwood, so I will have to wait until I can get to the dye store.... hair dye store. So my hair is staying pink)
Much inspiration tonight from looking at the things that I love... This is one of them....

But in the news of the yarn for this weekend... The tags are almost done... Wood and books and copper and embroidery... these things that I love!

Locus delicti
All of the things that have managed to fit into a week are sort of daunting.
Everything is getting done, and a new home will happen.
I've decided that this whole business of moving is too much for our cat to take. But I do suppose that she will have to deal with it for a few more days. To tide her over she has been given many boxes on the floor to jump in.
There is not much to say about fibers or dyes today.
Maybe something about black bean blue. Maybe not. I think not.
