Mind Blown

I woke up this morning to find Offhand Lace at the top spot on Ravelry.

Totally blew my mind.

Want to know a secret about this pattern? I meant to publish it closer to Knit City, but my friend Coco has expressed that she wants this scarf.... so I published early so she could have it immediately after Knit City. I don't often give away the original pattern samples, but this lady is a super special human being!

Mind Blown

So... i'm a total Pinterest dork. I lurk that site like its going outta style.
Here is my page...

So I sometimes go through old boards and get inspiration from them. And yesterday I stumbled back upon this....

This dress is awe inspiring!

Mind Blown.

Something new!

I've written a new shawl pattern.

But I need test knitters! Or at least test-readers!
Would you like to read this pattern for me?
Shoot me an e-mail, and I will mail you back the pattern!

I will be putting it up for free on ravelry once i'm done knitting it, but if you want to see it first... here is a chance!

Oh!!
Also the one I will be e-mailing out doesn't have the materials written on it... but that is because I don't yet know how much yarn this sucker is eating. I am going to approximate it at 3 skeins of worsted weight (100g) and a 4.5-5mm needle (Depending on the drape you'd like).

So there it is!

Packing

I'm (trying) to pack. In vain.

I started three hours ago. Then I got distracted in my sewing room. I've now made a new knitting travel bag: meaning that it holds three projects, and a few skeins of extras to design new patterns! Also needles..... and my Addi set. Argh... should I really bring my Addi set on the plane? Maybe I will put them in my check-in luggage.

Also, I have decided that I am in need of my darling one's backpack. It is large enough to fit the shoes I want to bring.

I'm headed to Kelowna for a week. (Oyama... north of Kelowna). I am spending time with my momma. Also, taking her on adventures to harvest dyes... and I get to just sit and knit a lot too.

I have these coming as projets:
-Knit cardigan out of Malabrigo Rios in Pearl Ten
-Crochet fingerless gloves out of Galway Worsted
-Two skeins of Sweet Georgia sock yarn
-One skein of Royal Alpaca....

I'm contemplating bringing some Brooklyn Tweed Loft.

And sketch books to design with.

And clothes. Fancy wedding things.... also other things too I guess. Should I be bringing running shoes?

Oh man.

I'm now distracted again. Writing a blog about my procrastination.
Also listening to shows on netflix.

Back to packing.

How many pairs of shoes is too many pairs of shoes?

Today

Oh man!
I get so scared putting new patterns out into the world.
I always wonder if people are going to :
a. Like them
b. Knit them
c. Critique them
d. Find errors, and I will feel silly

... I guess c. shouldn't bother me at all. Getting through a fine arts degree should have hardened me to critique.

It also makes me lurk my Ravelry stats to see how many people have downloaded my things.

Yep. So nervous.

Also, you should check out this blog.

Bigger Than Small Cowl

internet...

Seriously....
The internet alludes me

BUT! I have managed to figure out how to get all of my patterns to upload directly from Ravelry.

That took more ours than it should have.

I'm terrible at working the internet.
