Aurora australis

My garden is putting its self to sleep.
This is the last of my dye garden.

The colours on my street are the best now.

Autumn is the best time... of all the times.

More things from this morning....
These are jars in my home. I like to adventure with colours that come out.
This is where our bicycles hang.
I found this growing in my garden
I found this as well.

In other news... this is the best thing... http://www.dudecraft.com/

Ab ovo usque ad mala

This Saturday i'm teaching a dye workshop at the shop (Baaad Anna's Yarn Store) on how to dye with Cochineal.
Pretty great... mostly because I love the colour it creates, but also because we're using bugs for dye. And it freaks people out. And I think its funny. Ha.

And more on colour....
I got to go to the beach in White Rock with my bestie...
I did this for her...
And I have a friend that takes the best photos...

These are all things that are pretty great.

Time to go outside. Its dye harvest time.

Respice post te, mortalem te esse memento

Things feel much closer now. There will be many more colours that come from the earth that get pushed into yarn. --- And i'm sure that the yarn will become many more things. Also, it can be other types of fiber. But this is a regression. There will be hues from the earth.

Also, there was two very tall people from el Norte that I spent much time with today.

Also, a great one came this week to deliver two Osage Orange trees to me.  This may be the best thing.
Quite unassuming looking- but this will make lovely dye. In thirty years the tree will look like this...
