Today was solar dyeing!

I taught a class on solar dyeing today.
It was at Baaad Anna's this afternoon!

It was a super group of people, and I am so excited to see what comes of the course today!
The jars will be put in their windows for a few months (as we don't get too much sun this time of the year!)

We used Alum and Cream of Tartar as mordant and modifiers, and cochineal, logwood extract, henna powder, onion skins, and blackbean water as dyestuff.

  1. Have you ever tried dying with tea?
I am considering trying it for a project at work and am curious what your experience is.

    2. That's really great! Thanks for sharing.
I work for a tea company, and was considering using a Rooibos.
